April Dawn Geurin of Strawberry , Arkansas
April 11, 1978 - January 27, 2018

Lynn-April Dawn Geurin, 39, of Lynn passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018, near Lynn, due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident. She was born April 11, 1978 to James William and Irene Tunstall Rhodes in Newport. April married Josh Geurin on June 27, 1998 at Lynn. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Lynn.

April was first known as a daughter who was loved and cherished. She later became a wife, mother, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt who was loved and cherished. Josh, and the kids, Kaitlyn, Kylie and Kaden, loved April in the deepest way possible and whether you knew April or not, you didn’t have to be around for more than five minutes and you knew her whole world was her family.

April left a legacy laced with love. Her love for the Lord, her family, her friends and church, was an extreme testimony to others as you knew her heart was filled with God’s love. April was not someone who just “talked the talk”, she “walked the talk.” When you walk into her house, you immediately see God’s word beautifully displayed in different ways throughout. Pictures of family cover every wall, and there is a warmth in the house that can only be described as a home overflowing with a love for life and family. Josh watched April love her children as much as it is possible to love any child.

Daily you could find April serving in some capacity. Whether it was in her church teaching classes, directing children’s plays, working on retreats for the kids, or singing. You would also find April helping her friends, neighbors or anyone in need. There are so many heartbroken over this great loss, but we can be assured when she met her Savior, He welcomed her with the words, “well done, good and faithful servant.” April Dawn Geurin left a legacy that will continue through the generations, and we cherish the time we had with her and treasure how she loved each one of us.

Preceding her in death were her father, James William Rhodes; brother, Joey Jay Rhodes; sister, Rachael Renee’ Rhodes and grandfather, Jerry Gill.

She is survived by her husband, Josh Geurin of Lynn; her children, Kaitlyn, Kylie and Kaden Geurin of the home; her mother and step father, Eddie and Irene Harris of Saffell; half- sister, Sabrina; step brothers, Brandon Harris (Stephanie) and Richey Harris; father and mother in-law, Keith and Debbie Geurin of Lynn; grandparents, Darrell and Annie Geurin of Lynn; grandmother, Shirley Gill of Walnut Ridge; brother-in-laws, Dustin Geurin (Lauren) and Blake Geurin (Ashton); nephews, Jarrett and Conner Geurin; niece, Rachael Geurin and numerous other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Cave City.
