Fletcher William James resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2010 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born January 27, 1927 in Bluffton, Arkansas to the late Harvey James and Ethel Knott James. He was 83 years old. He was a retired mill worker in Laytonville,California, a US Army veteran of WWII, was an avid fisherman and was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lena Mae James of the home; four daughters, Kathy Kroeger & husband John of Ukiah, California, Eileen Underwood of Nice, California, Angela James & Fiance' Johnny Fink, of Lubbock, Texas, and Linda Ritter & husband Terry, of Fort Smith; two sons, Vic James & wife Pam, of Caulksville and Dewayne James of Barling; two sisters, Janie Stillwell and Ruby Joyce Long, both of Hot Springs; three brothers, Leroy James of Indiana, Bill Raby of Arkansas, and Harvey James of Leachville, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tim Pettigrew, Mike Pettigrew, Fred Sharp, Randy Sharp,Daniel Honea, and Quinton Rowan.
