Thelma Ann Mooney, age 89, of Benton our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother passed away peacefully June 12, 2010. She was born September 17, 1920 in Newport, Arkansas. She was the daughter of John Quincy and Lena Gertrude Pearce. Thelma was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Benton State Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow W. Mooney, a brother, J. D. Pearce and a sister, Nelma Pearce.
Survivors include a son, John Mooney and wife Bobbie, Benton; daughters, Debbie Mitchell and husband Don, Hot Springs; Polly Nelson and husband Travis, Benton; brother, Leroy Smith, Little Rock; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will (Were at) be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Primrose Cemetery in Pulaski County by Ashby Funeral Home.
