January 7, 1919 - April 3, 1968
Donald Key, 49, died Wednesday in Houston, Tex., after a brief illness. Born Jan. 7, 1919 in El Dorado, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Henry Key. He was a veteran of World War II. At the time of his death he was salesmanager for a Houston music company. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Kathryn Key; two daughters, Mary Donna Key and Kathy Key; his mother, Mrs. James H. Key, Sr., El Dorado; two sisters, Mrs. I. F. Funderburk, Jonesboro, La.; and Mrs. Thurman M. Clark, El Dorado; and a brother, James Henry Key, Jr., El Dorado. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Pratt Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Meredith Walker, William L. Craig, A. D. Hicks, Judge Sullivan, Donald Dendy and Billy T. Holmes. (El Dorado Times - April 5, 1968)
