Mrs. Josephine Hill Miller, 89, died Tuesday in Tyler, Tex., following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Miller was born Oct. 26, 1879, at Taberville, Mo., the daughter of John and Mary Coulthard Hill. She was a teacher and had been a resident of Tyler for the past three years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Self-Culture Club of El Dorado, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, and a chater member of the Champagnolle Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include one son, Stephen Miller, Tyler; three sisters, Mrs. D. M. Yocum, Sr., El Dorado, Mrs. Jennie Bryant, Oroville, Calif., and Mrs. Kate Giles, Starville, Miss.; one brother, Frank C. Hill, Oroville; and four step-grandchildren. Services will be held at Young's Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday with Dr. David Shepperson, assisted by the Rev. J. Rayford McLean, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Young;s. Active pallbearers will be Murph Wilson, Henry McKinney, F. M. Methvin, Emory Little, Joe Dong, Clayton Taylor, Roy Anderson adn Jack W. Barfield. Honorary pallbearers are the elders and deacons of the First Presbyterian Church.
