Mrs. Cornelia Bush, age 78, widow of the J. F. Bush of Star City, died at her home in Srar City at 11 p. m. Friday after an illness of a few weeks.

A native of Arkansas, she was born in Drew county, Feb. 18, 1867, daughter of the late J. T. and Sallie Jolley Bennett, moving to Star City when a small child with her parents. Mrs. Bush received her education in Star City schools.

She as a member of the Presbyterian church of Star City and was very active in all church and civic affairs.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. G. C. McGraw of Star City, Ark., and Mrs. Vera McClendon of Gould; two sons, R. L. Bush of McGehee, and S. C. Bush of Star City; six sisters, Mrs. Nora Smith, Mrs. Sallie Phillips, Mrs. Harrie Meroney, Mrs. Letha Smith and Mrs. Jeffie Allbright, all of Pine Bluff, and Mrs. Cora Smith of Denver, Colo.; one brother, D. L. Bennett of Star City; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Burial will be in the family lot in Bush cemetery near Star City by the South Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers will be: Earl Bennett, Eugene Bennett, Sam Bennett, Vernno Bennett, Pete Bennett and Kenneth Bush of Star City, Herbert Philips of Little Rock, Maurice Smith and Howard Phillips of Pine Bluff. All are nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Fletcher Harvey, De. Bailey, R. M. Dixon, Claude Newton, R. O. Fish, W. R. Norton, J. D. Bailey, Isaac Chambers, Willie crow, R. B. Steed, G. D. Smith, Nathan Davis, W. E. Davis, Doug Verdue, Rob Verdue, W. C. Ridgway, W. E. Moss, Tebo Cogbill, Jess Cogbill, Clyde Fish, John O'Neal, Jim Wimberly, A. E. Nobles, Allen Clemmons, Fred Grumbles, Will Fish, W. A. Dodds, Marvin Glover, and Veo Glover, all of Star City, W. A. Alsobrook of Benton, J. W. Pascall, Guy Bibb and Dr. Dixon, all of Gould.

The body will remain in the home at Star City until funeral time.
