Mrs. Pansy Jean Bryant, 69, of 338 S. Madison St., died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born at Magnolia on May 15, 1899, the daughter of Ben F. and Elba Gladney Jean. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and served as deputy clerk and county clerk for Union County for over 30 years. Survivors include her husband, Aylmer "Jake" Bryant of El Dorado; one brother, Gladney Jean of Magnolia; one sister, Mrs. W. W. Webster of Texarkana; two half brothers, Grady Jean and Charles Jean, both of El Dorado; and one half sister, Mrs. Mary Bob Burkies of Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Rumph Mortuary Chapel with Dr. Alvin Murray officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary.
