CHERRY VALLEY -- William Farrell Pitts, 58, of Cherry Valley died Sunday, June 12, at his residence. Born at Wynne, he lived at Cherry Valley and attended Cherry Valley schools. He was a retired truck driver and member of Sharpe's Chapel Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Bertha J. Pitts of the home; two sons, Mark Pitts and Jeff Pitts, both of Wynne; his parents, Billy and Magaline Pitts of Cherry Valley; one brother, Anthony Pitts of Cherry Valley; one sister, Rita Cansler of Cherry Valley; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kernodle Funeral Home of Wynne, with the Rev. J.L. McGarrity and Wanda Secrease officiating. Burial will be in Crosslawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cross County Hospice, P.O. Box 788, Forrest City 72336, or Sharpe's Chapel Church of God, 2746 Arkansas 163, Wynne 72396.
