February 5, 1897 - April 9, 1965

Walter Bethune Couch, 68, a retired carpenter of Junction City, died in a Bernice, La., hospital Friday night after a lengthy illness. Born in Magnolia Feb. 5, 1897, Mr. Couch was the son of Walter Pope and Ellen Reed Couch. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Shreveport Carpenters Union. and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include: his widow, Mrs. Ruby Godsey Couch, Junction City; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest Graves, Junction City, Mrs. James D. Ryther, and Mrs. Harmon Ryther, both of Texarkana, Tex.; one brother, J. J. Couch, Junction City; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be announced by Pratt's. (The El Dorado Times - April 10, 1965)
