March 14, 1920 - December 2, 1969
Anthony George Jasaitis, 49, of 925 Rock Island St., died Tuesday night in a local hospital following a brief illness. Born March 14, 1920, in New Haven, Conn., he was the son of Anthony G. and Eva Kardauskas Jasaitis. He was a retired chief petty officer in the in the U.S. Navy, a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Joel Houldridge Jasaitis, Connecticut; a brother and sister; four stepsons, Bobby J. Houldridge, El Dorado, Ted Houldridge, Camden, Bill Houldridge, Hazelwood, Mo., and Guy Houldridge, Utica, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Rumph Mortuary with Dr. J. Paul Palmer officiating. Military graveside services were held in Woodlawn Cemetery.
