H Luther was the son of Daniel Hammond and Emeline Lucretia Blodgett. The brother to Ida Arlette, Hiram, Claud D, Clara and Maude. His sister Clara, is buried next to him.
Daniel Hammond was born Nov 30 1840, Rochester, New York. During his lifetime, he worked as a firefighter (helped during the Great Chicago Fire), railroad engineer and the proprietor of the Phoenix Hotel in Marianna Arkansas,
Emeline was born Aug 6 1843 Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co, Michigan and died May 14 1913 Eaton Rapids, Eaton Co, Michigan
