Obituary
Miss Ada Maurice "Tiny" Turner, 76, of Lake Village, died Thursday, February 21, 2002, at the Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. Miss Turner was a native and former resident of Portland and a resident of Lake Village for the past 12 years. A bookkeeper and secretary for the Portland School for many years until her retirement several years ago, she was a member of the Lake Village Baptist Church, helping in the Vacation Bible School as long as her health permitted. . Before joining the Lake Village church, she was a member and secretary for the Portland Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed playing Bridge and knitting, especially baby afghans. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Turner and her mother, Mae Boysen Lindsey.
She is survived by her cousins, Betty Boysen Hendricks of Little Rock, Edward Morris Hill of Mountain Center, CA, Bill Norsworthy and Nancy Ann Murphy of Portland and her very close friends, Mack & Marilyn Jo Borgognoni of Portland.
Grave-side funeral services and interment were at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 23, in the Hamburg Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Myers officiating. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Hamburg. Memorials may be made to the Lake Village Baptist Church, 301 N. Lakeshore Drive, Lake Village, AR 71653.
