Obituary
Carol Virginia Eickhoff Johnson of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas
Carol Virginia Eickhoff Johnson, daughter of the late John and Frances Myer Eickhoff, was born September 7, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life May 27, 2017 in Batesville, Arkansas at the age of 90 years 8 months and 20 days. In 1945 she was united in marriage to Odie Kenneth Johnson and they raised three children together. Carol spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she and her husband owned and operated Electric Motor Works in Chicago, Illinois, Desplaines, Illinois and Rolla, Missouri. She was of the Catholic faith.
Carol is survived by three children: William Johnson and wife Laura Ann of Carrollton, Texas, Barbara Kubiak and husband Steven V. of Gerald, Missouri and Danny Johnson of Mount Pleasant; one sister: Rosemary Finkley of Beckley, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Steven J. Kubiak, Leslie Kubiak Bina, Kenneth Johnson, Jessica Kubiak McKinney; nine great grandchildren: Jason Kubiak, Hailey Nieder, Brande Kubiak, Joshua Bina, Jacob Bina, Kailyn McKinney, Allison McKinney, Josie Bina and Kian McKinney; nieces and nephews: Trudy Fingal, Diane Smith both of Minnesota, Paul Eickhoff, Richard Eickhoff both of Arizona and a host of other relatives and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation and funeral service will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and funeral service will begin at 11:00 with Charles Davis officiating. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery.
