April 23, 1891 - September 8, 1975
John Edgar Black, 84 of Rt. 1 Chidester, died Monday. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Red Hill Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home will be in charge. Mr. Black is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Wheelington of Chidester; one brother, Cecil Black of Texarkana; five grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. (Camden News - September 9, 1975)
