When William Thomas Berry was born on February 20, 1875, in Turkey Creek, Arkansas, his father, James, was 28 and his mother, Josephine, was 21. He married Dola Lorma Berry and they had ten children together. He also had one daughter from another relationship. He died on March 9, 1947, in Stone, Arkansas, at the age of 72, and was buried there.
