Mr. Amon Bearden, age 85, a resident of Amarillo, Texas, died Tuesday, July 25, 2017, in Amarillo.
He was born February 21, 1932, in Dierks, Arkansas.
He worked in AD&M Oil Mill for over 30 years, loved to play bingo and dominoes and spend time with his family and friends.
Amon was a good father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend. He will be missed by all.
Mr. Bearden was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Gertrude Chambers Bearden; one brother, Bloomis Willis and one sister, Willie Mae Rollins.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Curtis Harris of Amarillo; two sons, Damon Bearden also of Amarillo and Brian Bearden of Lubbock, Texas; one brother, George Bearden of Arkansas; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Clara Willis of Arizona and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Amon Bearden will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 5, 2017, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in De Queen, Arkansas, with James McRae officiating.
