Charles Lewis Favre was born n January 28, 1832, in Bramois, Switzerland. His parents were Antone and Maggie (Duprey) Favre. A passenger ship named "The Labrador" departed from Le Havre, France, and arrived in New York in December 1882. The passenger list included the following members of the Favre family: Charles (50), Catherine (45), Charles Louis (16), Jules (11-1/2), Marie Louise (10), Leon (4-1/2), Elias (3-1/2), Henrietta (22 months) and Alexis (52). Their destination was given as "Conway, Faulkner, Arkansas."
