Mildred Parnell Clower Sharpe,92,of Little Rock,died Tuesday.She was born July 1,1913,at Pine Bluff,a daughter of the late Virgil Parnell and Lillie Parnell.She was a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and Draughn Business College.After Graduation,she accepted a position in the Lincoln County Courthouse.She was a homemaker.She was also an organizational chairman and troop leader for the Girl Scouts at McGehee.She was a member of First United Methodist Church at McGehee,where served as past president of the Mothers Club Class.She was also a longtime member of the McGehee Garden Lovers Club.She was also preceded in death by two husbands,John Thomas Clower Sr.,who died in 1958,and Buren F. Sharpe,whom she married in 1970;and two sisters,Helen Wells and Dorothy Martin Brown,Survivors include one son,John Thomas Clower of McGehee;one daughter,Mary Emily Clower Jackson of Monticello;five grandchildren;and two great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held Friday at Griffin Funeral Services at McGehee with Tommy Cunningham officiating.Burial will be in McGehee Cemetery.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
