Judy Ann Woods Sass 62, of McGehee passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 in McGehee, AR.
Mrs. Sass was a member and played the piano at Antioch Baptist Church. She worked for McGehee Desha County Hospital as Administrative Assistant and Human Resources Director for over 40 years until she recently retired. She also volunteered at the McGehee Food Pantry. Mrs. Sass was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Sass was born September 4, 1950 to the late Frank and Audrey Fowler Woods in Dermott, AR.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Sass Sr.
She is survived by a daughter Melanie Sass of McGehee, AR, a son John and Cindy Sass Jr. of Wilmar, AR, a brother Harold and Faye Woods of Collins, AR, and two grandchildren Abby Sass and Hope Sass.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee. Funeral Service will be at 2pm Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Antioch Baptist Church in McGehee with Rev. Arlis East officiating.
Burial will follow at McGehee Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Mike Sutton, Donnie Ray Purdy, Gaylon Gilbert, David Bryan, Joe Owens, and Derrell Thompson.
Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Fisackerly and Randy Cox.
In Lieu of Flowers the family ask memorials be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 200 N. Jefferson St., McGehee, AR 71654 or McGehee Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 351, McGehee, AR 71654.
