Retha Mae Williams Dockins of Farmington, Arkansas
formerly of Pineville, Arkansas
Retha Mae Williams Dockins, daughter of the late Edgar Williams and Vada Lancaster Williams, was born September 10, 1930 in Dolph, Arkansas. She departed this life February 23, 2018 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 87 years, 5 months and 13 days. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Clifford (Dee) Dockins. She spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend. During her working years, she was employed by Beechcraft Aviation in Wichita, Kansas, retiring after 20 years of employment. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Dolph Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son: Jerry Dockins of Batesville; two daughters: Shirley Harris of Wichita, Kansas and Gail Sanders and husband Jerry of Farmington; two brothers: Alford Williams of Dolph, Elvis Williams of Pineville; Jewel Whitehead of Mountain Home, Wanda Teegarden of Dolph and Linda Helms of Dolph; eight grandchildren: Lori Owens of Batesville, Jenny Hiles of Wideman, Robbie Dockins of Batesville, Kerri Greenup of Anderson, Missouri, Ryan Lucas of Wichita, Kansas, Jessica Gaskill of Wichita, Kansas, Kevin Sanders of Springfield, Missouri and Aaron Sanders of Farmington; 13 great grandchildren: Hanna Owens, Megan and Morgan Hiles, Preston, Emma, Asher and Jude Dockins, Jared Griffin, Jaylynn and Kylei Lucas, Kailyn and Caden Sanders and Audrey Sanders and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers: R. A. Williams and Wilson Williams and one sister: Dorothy Phillips.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Burial will be at Wayland Arbor Cemetery.
