Dane Allen Miles 19, of McGehee, Arkansas passed away Sunday, October 4, 2015. He was born in Pine Bluff, AR on May 8, 1996. Dane was a 2014 graduate of McGehee High School and was currently attending the University of Arkansas Monticello School of Technology in McGehee, AR.

He loved to duck hunt, deer hunt, fish, ride 4 wheelers and spending time outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wanda and Jimmy Miles.

Survivors include his parents, J.P. and Dana Miles of McGehee, AR; brother, Scott Miles of McGehee, AR; sister, Shelby Miles of McGehee, AR; grandparents, Danny and Theta Wilson of McGehee, AR; uncles and aunts, Robert and Denise Wilson of Conway, AR, Nic and April Wilson of McGehee, AR, and Randall Miles of Little Rock, AR.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service of McGehee, AR.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at First Baptist Church of McGehee, AR with Dr. Ed Balducci officiating.

Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery in McGehee, AR.

Desha County wreck kills passenger

Passenger dies

Dane Allen Miles, 19, of Dermott, died at the scene of a one-vehicle accident early Sunday near Rowher.
A passenger was killed and the driver injured early Sunday in a one-vehicle wreck on Arkansas 1 north of Arkansas 4 near Rowher in Desha County.
According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, a 2009 Chevrolet driven by Bradley Wilson, 19, of Tillar was north on Arkansas 1 when it traveled off the roadway and Wilson lost control. The vehicle traveled back across the roadway and overturned, then struck a tree.
Wilson’s passenger, Dane Allen Miles, 19, of Dermott, died at the scene.
Wilson was taken to Desha County Hospital in McGehee. Miles’ body was released to Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Home.
The accident happened about 1:17 a.m. The weather was clear and the road was dry.
Trooper Gordon Seawood investigated the accident for the Arkansas State Police.
