Mrs. Mildred Earnest, 62, of Minden, La., died Monday morning in a nursing home at Shreveport. She was a former resident of Camden and the widow of Dave Earnest. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Earnest is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Bloxon of Minden, one brother, Robert Chambliss of Little Rock; four sisters, Mrs. Allen Nance and Mrs. Helen Hendrix of Bearden, Mrs. Marcus Clay and Mrs. Gladys Johnson of Camden, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Proctor's Chapel with burial in Salem Cemetery. (Camden News - September 22, 1970)
