Gail Gene Griffing Kirtley, 74, of Russellville, Arkansas died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville.

She was born July 15, 1939 in Lake Village, Arkansas to Clyde and Margie Griffing.

Gail was a 1957 graduate of McGehee High School. She went on to earn a BSE from Arkansas A&M and an MSE from The State College of Arkansas in Special Education. She taught for 34 years in Arkansas Public Schools before retiring to Russellville in 1999. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Russellville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings Sharon Griffing Palfreeman and Clyde Griffing, Jr.; her children, Karen Kirtley Gonzalez and her husband Samuel, and Earl Kirtley, Jr. and his wife Lisa; and her grandchildren Emily and Lindsey Kirtley, daughters of Earl and Lisa. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation will be 12-1 pm, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, AR.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm, Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Tommy Cunningham officiating.

Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery.
