August 17, 1884 - April 18, 1965
Charles H. Norwood, 80, a former resident of Little Rock, died in a local hospital Sunday Morning. Born at Stamps on Aug. 17, 1884, he was the son of John H. and Georgia Lewis Norwood. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Little Rock. He was a retired employe of Bell Telephone where he worked since his student years at Louisiana Tech. He is survived by several nieces and nephews including, Mrs. Eula Garrison of El Dorado and a cousin, Tracy Norwood of Little Rock. Mr. Norwood was the husband of the former Leta Goodwin, whose death occurred in 1962. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Pratt Funeral Home, with the Rev, Gary Jones officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Carter, Dick Sutherlin, Jake Bryant, Harvey McHenry, Norman Terry, Greer Allison, Burney Wilson and Albert Prothro. (The El Dorado Times - April 20, 1965)
