Devoted Wife of Harry Bryan Reeves
April 13, 1895 - May 5, 1965
Mrs. Helen McClelland Reeves of 1700 N. Madison Ave. died in a local hospital Wednesday at 5:25 a.m. after a long illness. She was the wife of Harry Bryan Reeves, prominent El Dorado merchant. Mrs. Reeves was born in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the daughter of Edward J. and Genevieve DuBois McClelland. She had lived in El Dorado since 1918 and was a member of the First Baptist Church and of the El Dorado Garden Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Russell H. Lewis of El Dorado and Mrs. R. A. Pierpont of Darien, Conn.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Edward C. McClelland of Poughkeepsie. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Don Harbuck, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with arrangements being handled by Young's. (The El Dorado Times - May 5, 1965)
