Minnie Lee Holt, 92, of McGehee died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at McGehee Desha
County Hospital in McGehee.

She was born January 10, 1917 in Summerland MS to the late J.C. Royals and Vennie
Valentine Royals.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Fred L. Holt and a brother:
J.W. Royals.

She was a graduate of Jones County Jr. College, and University of Southern Mississippi, a retired teacher, she taught in Mississippi, Watson High School , Delta Special School District and Arkansas City Schools and a member of the McGehee First Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter: Mary Susan Holt Doss and husband Jessie Doss of McGehee , three sisters: Wilhelmina Parker of Brandon, MS, Magdalene Black of Ellisville, MS, and Evelyn Nolan of San Antonio, TX, one grandson: David Paul Doss of McGehee and one niece, whom she raised, Michelle Hall of Wylie, TX.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday, with the family receiving friends from 6-7, at Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ed Balducci officiating.

Burial will be in McGehee Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Service of McGehee.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Honduras Mission.
