Jewell Everett Brewer the son of Elmer Brewer and Nettie Brewer. Elberta Earnestine (Winchester) Brewer the daughter of William Owen Winchester and Eula (Weir) Winchester.

Jewel Everett Brewer passed from this life to another on Tuesday May 3, 2011 at his home, he was 84 years old.

He was born at Black Rock on June 1 1926, to the late Elmer and Nettie Brewer. He was a resident of Black Rock for the last 41 years. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers John and Darrell Brewer and a sister Ruby Malone.

Jewel loved to give and to shop he also loved to hunt and to attend New Life Full Gospel Church.

Jewel served in the Navy and was a retired truck driver.

He is survived by his wife Ernestine of Black Rock; two sons, Jewell Brewer of Pleasant Plains, Michael Brewer of Paragould, one daughter Susan Monroe of Walnut Ridge, four sisters Caralee Hardin and Nina Bailey both of Tennesee, Pasty Vowell of Paragould, Mildred Metcalf of Ferguson Mo.

Mr. Brewer will be placed at the New Life Full Gospel Church at 10:00 am on Thursday May 5 2011. The service will begin at 11:00 with Bro. Wayne Bryant, and Pastor Betty Willows officiating. Interment will follow in the Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Collins, Mike White, Rick Brewer, Brad Brewer, Chad Brewer, Charles Brewer.

Black Rock - Elberta Earnestine Brewer, 92, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born on January 11, 1924 to William Owen and Eula Weir Winchester in Imboden, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Full Gospel Church in Black Rock.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jewel Brewer; brother, Weir Winchester; and sisters, Mary Anna Davis and Imogene Powell.

She is survived by son, Michael Brewer of Paragould, daughter, Susan Monroe of Walnut Ridge; sisters, Ruth Smith of Black Rock and Martha Sellers of Warsaw, Indiana; and one brother, Robert Winchester of Pocahontas.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at New Life Full Gospel Church in Black Rock with Wayne Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Imboden under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
