SOUTHERLAND, Louisa - Mrs. Louisa Southerland died Friday morning at the home of her son, J.M. Southerland, of bilious dysentery. The remains were taken to her old home at Hindsville Saturday for interment, services being held at the church at that place, and were conducted by Eld. J.R. Loving. Deceased was 79 years of age and was born in Clarksville, Ga. She came with her husband to Madison County about forty years ago and since the death of the latter some four years ago has made her home with her son at this place and with a daughter residing in Texas. She is survived by three sons and a daughter, one son, Frank, living at Kincaid, Kan. and another, Henry, at Boxley, Newton County. Mrs. Southerland had for many years been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

{from Hindsville} Mrs. J.R. Southerland, mother of J.M. Southerland of Springdale, was buried in the Smith cemetery last Saturday by the side of others of her family.
