CYRIL J. SZYMANSKI, 89, of North Little Rock passed away Wednesday, October 31st, 2012. He was born February 1st, 1923 in Marche, Arkansas to B.W. and Sophie Zuber Szymanski. Cyril was a quiet man, but had a great sense of humor. He was a lifelong member of the Marche community, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He loved sports and the outdoors. He retired from Timex, after many years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Cecelia Szymanski Wilson, Martha Szymanski Kelly, and Christine Szymanski Priest; brothers, Edward Szymanski, and Louis Szymanski; and his nephew, Johnny Bill. Cherishing his memory are his brother, Julian Szymanski (Ruth) of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Tillie Szymanski Bill of Alamonte Springs, Fla.; three nieces, Marilyn Priest Henderson of North Little Rock, Karen Szymanski Fine of St. Louis, Mo., and Joann Bill of Florida; three nephews, Mark Priest of Chesapeake, Va., Dale Szymanski of St. Louis, Mo., and Bobby Bill of Alamonte Springs, Fla.; several great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday November 3, 2012 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas J. Hart as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515. The Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. following the visitation. The online obituary, guestbook, and memorial tribute are available at www.griffinleggettresthills.com. Memorials may be made in his memory to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church/School.
