Friday, December 22, 1916
Col. J. Polk Fancher was called by phone to the home of his sister, Mrs. Sarah Kendall at Chapline, Monday, who was thought to be nearing the end of life.
she is the wife of Rev. A.G. Kendall and the mother of State Senator Lem Kendall. She is about 86 years of age and has recently suffered a stroke of paralysis. It is hardly expected she will survive many days.
Later ---Since the above was put in type a phone message has been received in the city that the good lady passed to her eternal reward at 1:30 o'clock yesterday morning and her remains will be buried at Alabam cemetery today.
