Jessie C. Vinson, 81, of North Little Rock, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. She was the first female vice-president of Worthen Bank, a member of Women of Worthen, the National Association of Banking Women, Toastmasters International, and a founding member of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders of Arkansas.
She is survived by her four children, Annette Gordon (George), Anson Gogh, Jim Vinson (Becka), Lynn Pruss (“Bodie” Steve, Jr.); fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Callin and Fannie Cox; one brother and one sister; her former husband, Patrick Vinson; granddaughter, Charlotte Diane Beckman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR 72116 or Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders of Arkansas 2448 E. 81st Street Suite 3000, Tulsa, OK 74137.
The mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday. Burial will be in Immaculate Heart of Mary. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday with the Rosary to follow at 7:00 P.M. at North Little Rock Funeral Home a Smith Family Funeral Home.
