Philip Paul Krauser (otherwise known as son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandpa, PK and friend) of Maumelle, passed from this life Sept. 8, 2017. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Oct. 30, 1939 to Philip and Evelyn Krauser. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janice Krauser. The entire family celebrated their 50 years of marriage in Punta Cana where they renewed their wedding vows and had a wonderful celebration.

Phil began his career with Hotpoint/General Electric in Cincinnati, and his career took the family across the mid-west and south, where he eventually retired in his beloved state of Florida. Retirement would bring the diagnosis of cancer and he fought that battle with grace and dignity for the last 19 years of his life.

In his final years he moved back to Maumelle to be closer to his family as he battled with brain cancer and continued the fight. His strength and determination were incredible.

Phil was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his very special Aunt who raised him, Dorothy Krauser of Lawrenceburg Ind., his brothers Gerald Krauser (Joan), James Krauser (Dova) of Cincinnati and Dale Krauser (Sherrie) of Lawrenceburg Ind.; his children Traci Etheridge (Mac) of Maumelle, Sherri Stallings (Kirk) of Louisville and Todd Krauser (Stephanie) also of Maumelle; his grandchildren Christina Rhodes (Nick), Carley Krauser, Clay and Regan Etheridge all of Maumelle; Austin, Hannah and Sophie Stallings of Louisville. Great-grand’s of “PK” include Connor and Lucas Rhodes and many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Our family would like to thank the staff and CNAs from Arkansas Hospice and especially Dr. John Day- his neurologist and Dr. Brad Baltz- his oncologist for their exceptional care.

A rosary will be said at Immaculate Heart of Mary at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 followed by visitation at approximately 9:30 a.m.; then Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with interment in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to UAMS Cancer Institute or CARTI.
