Judson Landers Erwin III, 68 of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away on September 30, 2015. He was born on February 5, 1947 in Little Rock, Arkansas along with his twin sister, Jenelle. Parents were the late County Judge J.L. Erwin, Jr. and Mary Effie Nations Erwin. Judson (nick named “Buzzy”) grew up in McGehee, Arkansas and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He graduated from McGehee High School in 1965 and attended the University of Arkansas on a Razorback football scholarship. Judson graduated from UAF with a BS in business in 1969 and later earned a Master’s degree in Library Science from LSU in Baton Rouge, LA. Judson was an adventurer and loved to travel (especially on a motorcycle throughout Europe and the U.S.) He worked as a librarian for the U.S. Army in Germany, South Korea, and Alaska. He was also a U.S. Army technology technician in Huntsville, AL and San Francisco, CA. His last job was with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Cold Bay, Alaska. After his retirement in 2004, he lived in Anchorage, AK until his recent return to his home state of Arkansas in September 2015. He was loved, cherished and adored by his 3 sisters and their families: Jenelle Stephens (Paul) of Benton, AR; Mary Bushey (Kevin) of Ashland, ME; Ann Burski (Burkhard) of Cleeburg, Germany. Buzzy was a loving, caring, and generous brother, uncle and friend who lived life in his own way. Special thanks to the caring staff at Greenbriar on Stagecoach Road retirement center. Arrangements were through Ashby Funeral Home of Benton, Arkansas.
