Obituary
David Hallam Sellars, son of the late David Sellars and Josephine Ross Sellars, was born March 10, 1926 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He departed this life November 15, 2016 in Melbourne, Arkansas at the age of 90 years, 8 months and 5 days. He served in the United States Army during World War II as a paratrooper. He attended college and earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He spent his life as a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, provider and friend. During his working years, he was employed by General Motors as an engineer. He retired from University of Texas Health Science Center as a maintenance engineer after 10 years of employment. In 1993 he was united in marriage to Billie Harrison. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and the Republican Party. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years: Billie Sellars of the home; five children: Bill Sellars of San Antonio, Texas, Susan Garcia of Mexico, David Kelly Sellars of Austin, Texas, Yesenia Whitehead of California and Enoch Sellars of California; two stepchildren: Terri Moses of Euless, Texas and David Smith of Sage; one sister: Jo Ann Bambridge of California; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Betsy Howard.

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Howard Memorial Funeral Chapel in Melbourne. Burial will be at Caney Spring Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will be Saturday, November 19 beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers: Harold Marlin, Van Johnson, Don Johnson, DeWayne Ward and Billy Ward.

Honorary Pallbearer: Jamie Sisk.
