Larry Stephen Coulter, 62 of Montrose, Arkansas died Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born July 8, 1951, in Dermott, Arkansas to Roy and Hazel Boyd Taylor Coulter.

He was a graduate of Rhema Bible College and was an ordained minister. Larry served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Germany and France. He served as Mayor of Montrose, AR for 14 years and loved to collect presidential buttons. Larry was active in the following civil affairs: Arkansas South Tourism Board, Southeast Cornerstone Coalition, Ashley County Extension Council, Past President of the Hamburg Rotary Club, Delta Leadership Institute, Kentucky Colonel, South East Arkansas Development District, Ashley County Home Town Health Council, Southeast Arkansas Regional Literacy Council, President of McGehee High School - Class of 1969.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Frank Coulter and his sister, Barbara Morphis.

Survivors include his sons, Robert Coulter of Montrose, Arkansas and Timothy (Carrie) Coulter of Yazoo City, Mississippi; brother, Vernon Coulter of Montrose, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jonathan Golden, Cory Coulter, Bailey Coulter, Collin Coulter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Jack Woods officiating.

Burial will be at McGehee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Paws and Claws Humane Society of McGehee, P.O. Box 975, McGehee, AR 71654.
