Orlando 'Scar' Cingolani, age 91 of Monticello, formerly of McGehee, departed this life peacefully at his home in the presence of his family on Sunday, October 9, 2011.

He was born December 16, 1919 to Florio and Anna Cingolani.

Scar was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Geraldine Cingolani.

He was the loving father of Ann (PeeWee) Irons of Baton Rouge, LA, Cathy (Wayne) Aswell of Ruston, LA, Ronnie (Tambara) Cingolani of McGehee, Connie Steele and Jerri (Ronny) Craven, both of Monticello. Scar was the loving grandfather of eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. He had a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in death by his father, mother, four brothers and five sisters.

Scar was a WW II Veteran, assigned to Dutch Harbor during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. After returning from service, he married his bride and was a meat delivery man for Linekers, then was employed by Sunbeam Bread Company for 13 years. He then worked for 10 years for Parker Distributing and 20 years for Delta Distributing, all of McGehee. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and St. Mark's Catholic Church. He was a former member of Copperhead Hunting Club, an owner and president of Line Hunting Club and a member of AARP. Scar was best known for his other financial endeavors, his trailer park, and selling fruits and vegetables that he had grown in his garden. He was loved by so many and never met a stranger.

Geraldine Stevens Cingolani, 84, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the Woods Nursing & Rehab in Monticello. She was a former telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, a homemaker, enjoyed cooking, sewing, playing dominos and was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Monticello.

She was the daughter of the late Arthur E. Stevens and Willie Mae Stewart Stevens and was preceded in death by two brothers, Doris Stevens and Raymond Stevens and four sisters, Pauline Rivilion, Virginia Mooney, Catherine Minchew and Margie Jones. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Orlando Cingolani of Monticello; one son and wife; four daughters and three son-in-laws; one brother; one sister; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday at St. Mark's Catholic Church, with burial in McGehee Cemetery.
