July 1, 1901 - October 10, 1970
Alva Preston (Bud) Bankston, age 69, of Route 4, El Dorado, died early Saturday in an El Dorado hospital. He was the caretaker at Rest Haven Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dovie Bankston, of El Dorado; one son, John Preston Bankston of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. Faye Smith of Magnolia and Mrs. Doylene Sesea of Chicago, Ill.; one brother, John Dalton Bankston of El Dorado; and two sisters, Mrs. Doshe Crumpler and Mrs. Maude Wilson, both of Camden. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Midway Church, Highway 82, west of El Dorado with burial in Friendship Cemetery. Camden Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
