Mrs. Hazel E. Mitchell of Marianna passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 in Branson, Missouri. She was 86 years of age.
Hazel was born on June 30, 1925 in Wynne, Arkansas to Hollis Merrell and Bessie Davis Merrell. She and Homer Mitchell were married in December of 1946, and Hazel worked as a Cosmetologist. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Marianna.
Hazel is survived by Homer, her husband of 64 years, and her sisters, Christine Sims Pierce (Gordon) of Forrest City, AR; and Anna Wells of Branson, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Bessie Merrell and one sister, Thelma Wilson.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, with burial following at Marianna Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Homer Mitchell, 96, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was born Thursday, July 18, 1918 to Sidney Mitchell and Leavy Walker Mitchell in Goodwin, Arkansas.
Homer is survived by one sister-in-law; Christine Sims, one special niece; Erma Hendrick, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of sixty- five years Hazel Mitchell.
Services for Mr. Mitchell will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Roller – Citizens Funeral Home, Marianna. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at Roller – Citizens Funeral Home, Chapel. Burial will be at Marianna Memorial Park, Marianna, Arkansas. Roller – Citizens Funeral Home (870) 295-2528 has charge of arrangements.
