Mrs. Philomene Gray, French Native, Dies

Mrs. Philomene Sauvage Gray 64, died in a local hospital Saturday after a brief illness following a fall in her home. She was the widow of Joseph Walter Gray, local jeweler who died in 1939.

A native of Avion, Pas de Calais, France, Mrs. Gray met Mr. Gray in France during World War I. She came to the United States in 1920 and was married in Fayetteville, where she had lived continuously since 1926.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Hardy C. Wilcoxon, with whom the had made her home since 1950; one grandson, Cully; and a sister, Mrs. Eliza Ramacher of Pittstown, N. J. Her only living relative in France is an uncle, Louis Tournay of LeForest.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nelson's Funeral Chapel with entombment at Fairview Cemetery.
