Mrs. Etta Elizabeth Black, 95, Kirksville, Mo., former, resident of Fayetteville, died Feb. 13 in Kirksville. Born Oct. 27, 1881, at West Fork, she was the daughter of Thomas and Louisia Johnson, Hope. She was married to John F. Black in 1900 and he died in 1921. She was a member of the all-women's city government in Winslow in 1922 and a charter member of the Petunia Garden Club in Fayetteville. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. John D. Black, Kirksville, Mo., and Olan H. Black, Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces including Mrs. Sherman Spyres of Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, with Dr. Joel Cooper officiating. Interment will be in the family mausoleum in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
