Viola Mae Hart Hardin, formerly of Marianna, passed from this life on January 12, 2011 at age 87.
She was born on November 16, 1923 in Portales, New Mexico to Joseph Larkin Hart and Nellie Adair Hart. She married Fred Hardin, and became a homemaker and mother.
Viola was a member of Shell lake Baptist Church, and her greatest enjoyment was her family, all of whom she dearly loved.
She is survived by daughters Margaret Kirk of Lexa, AR; Thelma Reunard of Little Rock, AR; Carolyn Slane of West Helena, AR; Rhonda Thornsberry and husband Michael of Proctor, AR; sons Charles Hardin and wife Gladys of Jacksonville, AR; Mike Hardin and wife Sherry of Wynne, AR; daughter-in-law Karen Hardin of North Little Rock, AR; David Hardin of Omaha, AR; Doyle Hardin of Phoenix, AZ; Tim Hardin and wife Rita of Jacksonville; and John Hardin and wife Deanna of Maumelle, AR; thirty-six grandchildren; forty-eight great-grandchildren; brothers Wesley Hart and wife Pauline of Marianna, AR; and Doug Hart and wife Rudine of Greenville, SC; other relatives and many friends.
Loved ones preceding Viola in death were her husband of 56 years, parents, Joseph and Nellie Hart; son Lane Duran, grandson Scott Montgomery; granddaughters Paula Bates, Jewel Brown and Christina Chitty-Hardin and sons-in-law J.L. Slane and Jimmy Kirk;.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15th at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, with burial to follow in Marianna Memorial Park.
Visitation will be at the Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
