The Rev. Alberta L. Nettrour, 89, of Centerton passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, in Bentonville. She was born May 16, 1915, in Columbiana, Ohio, to Anna (Lewis) Nettrour.

She was a retired Pentecostal minister, also known as the "Preacher Lady" in her 29 years of jail ministry. Her love for life is best described as her genuine love for people in need. Some of her accomplishments include children's ministry, such as the Traveling Sunday School in Bentonville, founding and restoring several churches, singing and ministering in nursing homes, mentoring ministers for the gospel and giving many guitar and piano lemons. Her friendly smile and words of welcome, "You Made It" will be greatly missed by her friends and church family.

She is survived by Louise Thomason, her daughter in faith and partner in the ministry for the past 32 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville with the Rev. Charles Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
