ROGERS — Ralph Edward Walker, 71, of Rogers, passed away May 14, 2011, in Fayetteville. Ralph was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Hennepin, Okla., the son of Frank and Marguerite Johnson Walker.
He was an electronic technician for Glad Corp. for 32 years. Ralph helped start and organize the Ozark Mountain Bassett Rescue and a longtime volunteer with the Boy Scouts. He was a charter member and deacon of Grace Baptist Church in Rogers. Ralph also served in the United States Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his wife Vivian and one son David.
He is survived by his son Daniel Walker of Pea Ridge and his daughter Cynthia Breece of Rogers; his brothers and sisters, Ray Walker of Bentonville; Mary Campbell of Rogers; Bill Walker of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Ruth Byler of Rogers and Lois Wilder of Benton, Ark.; four grandchildren Fairlane Breece, Dakota Walker, Kaytlin Walker and Kelsey Kieter.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at Grace Baptist Church with Randy Parks officiating. Interment with full military honors in the Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Benton County Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Ozark Mountain Bassett Rescue c/o Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, AR 77756. Online condolence to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
