Katherine Hart Cox, 92, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 in Marianna, Arkansas. She was born Sunday, September 6, 1925 in Washington County, Arkansas to Joseph and Rosie (Lyons) Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, four brothers, and her husband of seventy years, James F. Cox, Sr.
She is survived one brother, Edwin Hart of Van Buren, Arkansas; two sons, Jim Cox, of Marianna, Arkansas; Bob Cox of Bear, Delaware; and one daughter, Penny Kelly (Coy), of Memphis, Tennessee. Survivors also include three grandchildren, Grant Cox (Emily), of Little Rock, Arkansas; Sarah Cox of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Lisa Eldenberger (Jeff) of Charleston, South Carolina, three great-grandchildren George Cox, Alex Eldenberger and Eric Eldenberger.
Katherine was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Marianna.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Roller-Citizens Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
