Chester Elbert Carrier, 92, of Paris, Arkansas passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Paris.

He was born October 18, 1919 to Elbert and Martha (Wilhite) Carrier in Oden, Arkansas.

He served in World War II in a tank destroyer unit of the 9th Division in Tunisia (North Africa), Italy, Belgium, Normandy and Germany, taking part in the D Day invasion of France. He earned the Bronze Star, American Defense Service Ribbon, EAME Service Ribbon and a Silver Service Star Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of the American Legion from 1945 to present time. He served as Commander and Quarter Master of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4449 of Marianna, Arkansas. Chester owned and operated a grocery store for l5 years and was a rural postal carrier in Marianna.

He was an excellent carpenter and wood carver and a 32nd degree Mason of Marianna Masonic Lodge 141.

He retired from the Army National Guard as 1-5GT.E8, was a member of First Baptist Church of Paris and a Deacon of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dardanelle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Martha Carrier and two brothers, Roy and Glen Carrier.

Chester leaves his wife of 66 years, Mollie Carrier of Paris, one -stepson, Robert Morris of Kansas City, Missouri; a daughter, Martha Parsons and husband, Larry of Paris; one grandchild, Brian Parsons and wife Amanda of Conway; two great grandchildren, Madison and Samuel Parsons of Conway, Arkansas; one sister, Ilene Scott of Paragould, Arkansas; one brother, Wilton Carrier of Kansas City, Missouri and numerous close family friends.

Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 8, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris and also Wednesday, November 9, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas.

A Graveside Service and burial will be held in Marianna, Arkansas at the Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, under the direction of Roller Funeral Home-Paris, Arkansas.

Mollie B. (Webb) Carrier 91 of Paris, Arkansas passed away April 9, 2013 in Paris. Mollie was born November 1, 1921 in Carbon Hill, Alabama to Walter and Ludie (Bailey) Webb. Mollie loved playing and watching basketball, she attended Eastern Arkansas College and she was a manager of a shoe store in Marianna for several years before retiring as an accountant, Mollie was a charter member of the Veteran of Foreign War Auxiliary in Marianna and a member of the Eastern Star of Marianna, Arkansas and also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paris, Arkansas.

Mollie is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ludie Webb, her husband of 65 years Chester Carrier, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mollie is survived by her son Robert Morris of Missouri, a daughter Martha Parsons and husband Larry of Paris, five grandchildren Brian Parsons and wife Amanda of Conway, Roger Morris, Robin Morris, Mollie Morris, Robert Morris Jr and two great grandchildren Madison and Samuel Parsons.

Visitation in Paris, Arkansas will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, a Visitation will also be held 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas.

Graveside Service and Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Marianna Memorial Park. under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com

Pallbearers will be Bud Parsons, Doug Long, Glen Earl Carrier, Larry Parsons, Earl Stacy
