SPRINGDALE — Charles Edward "Ed" Travis, 85, of Springdale, passed away on Feb. 2, 2016. He was born on Oct. 11, 1930, in Harrison, Ark., to John Merle and Florence Nickols Travis.

Ed was a Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was an avid outdoorsman and a Boy Scout Leader.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Rosalee Austin Travis; three sons, Steve Travis and Clair of Bella Vista, Greg Travis and Aleta of Springdale and Mike Travis and Robin of Springdale; one brother, Phillip Travis and Jean of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Jason, Jeremy, Erin, Bryce, Missy, Jennifer and Thomas; and eight great-grandchildren, one nephew, Pat Travis of Bentonville.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Graveside Services will be on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at 12 noon at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 210 N Walton Blvd No. 25, Bentonville, Ark., 72712. You may sign the online guestbook at www.siscofuneral.com.
