Beatrice TATE

New Hope (Aubrey) Cemetery
Lee County,
Arkansas

June 22, 1939 - Sept 18, 2016

Ma Bea was born to Annie Lee Scott and Arthur Lee Kimble, Sr. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age (at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church). During her entire life, she remained a faithful member. Her declining health, due to nearly 14 years of battling cancer, resulted in her having to move to Jonesboro to live with, under the loving care of her daughter, Barbara Ann.

Ma Bea wed Jesse Lee (Mike) Tate. They were married until his death, December 1970. To their union seven children (Mitchell, Bobby, Barbara Ann, Ronnie, Carl, Gregory and Jacqueline) were born.

Beatrice (Ma, Grandma, and Grandma Bea) not only loved her children to infinity, she was always extremely excited when her extended family was visiting, particularly when attending the Scott-Yarbrough Family Reunion every two years. Ma NEVER missed a reunion no natter where it was held. We are eternally grateful she was able to attend the 2016 reunion in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Ma Bea departed this life at St. Bernard's Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at approximately 12:30 p.m. where she had resided for one month and six days.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Annie Scott; husband, Jesse Lee Tate; son, Mitchell Tate; sister, Mary Alice Kimble; brother, Huel Kimble, and two granchildren.

Left to cherish her memory: father, Arthur Kimble, Sr.(Johnnie) of Cotton Plant, AR; children, Bobby Tate (Mickey), Maryland Heights, MO; Barbara Ann Tate, Jonesboro, AR; Ronnie Tate, St. Louis, MO; Carl Tate, San Antonio, TX; Gregory Tate (Endee), Ft. Mill, SC; and Jacqueline Tate-Todd (Darius) San Marcos, TX; one brother, Arthur Lee Kimble, Jr. (Fannie), Michigan; twelve (12) grandchildren; twelve (12) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
