Obituary
Venice Lay Kemp, 94, of Mountain View passed away August 9, 2013 at North Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born October 9, 1918 at Tomahawk near Gilbert, Arkansas in Searcy County to Nobe H. Lay and Charlottie (Keeling) Lay and grew up at Flag.
Venice was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church.
Venice is survived by her daughter, Wanda Jo Lancaster, her granddaughter, Jill (Earnheart) Holyfield and husband Rob, great-granddaughter, Ella Holyfield, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurlow C. (Juck), sons-in-law, Jerry Earnheart, and Floyd Lancaster, parents, Nobe H. and Charlottie (Keeling) Lay, brothers, Loy, Arlie, Kenneth, and Gene Lay, sisters, infant Mavis, Lena Morrison, Ozella Reynolds, Johnnie Morrison, Voneda Thomas.
Graveside services will be at 11.00 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Flatwoods Cemetery with Brother Daryl Pitts officiating. Roller Crouch Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
