Heather Ann Byars, 45, of Rogers, passed from this life on Friday, August 4th, 2017. She was born a bright blue eyed child December 31st 1971 to Marilyn Meindl.

Heather was the soul mate of Gary Lynn Byars. She was an older sister to Erica Meindl, Olivia (Meindl) Goodwin, and Edward Meindl Jr.

She was a loving mother to Aaron Hancock, Brandon Hancock, Noel Hancock and stepmother to Briana Byars and an absolutely adoring grandmother to Bryson, Aliyea and all her other adopted grandbabies.

She was the first born grandchild of Walter and Muriel Michalowski.

She was a spunky niece to Carol Kalins and Victoria Fausnaught, and was loved by many cousins.

She is preceded in death by her adoring grandmother Muriel Michalowski who we are sure wrapped her in a welcoming hug.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00pm on Thursday, August 10th at Westfield Chapel funeral home in Springdale. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation. Heather’s final resting place will be Hickory Creek Cemetery.

Rogers woman struck, killed white crossing Interstate 49

LOWELL — A Rogers woman was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle Friday evening, the Arkansas State Police reported Saturday.

Heather Byars got out of her vehicle and crossed both northbound lanes of traffic on Interstate 49 where she was struck by a vehicle just before 10 p.m., Police said.

She was taken to Northwest Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.
