SPRINGDALE - Jewel Dean McAtee, 64, of Springdale passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Aug. 19, 1950 in Springdale to Velda and Flossie McGarrah Luper.

Jewel worked for the Springdale Public School System for 27 years. She enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and she loved to feed her family and loved ones.

She is preceded by one brother, Jackie Luper.

Survivors include her husband, Ervel McAtee of the home; one son, Jeremy McAtee and wife, Julie of Winslow; one daughter, DeeAnn Littrell and husband, Paul of Rogers; three brothers, Donnie Luper and wife, Pat of Springdale, Randy Luper and wife, Janie of Winslow and Gary Luper and wife, Cindy of Westville, Okla.; one sister, Shurlene Baughman and husband, Randy of Johnson; five grandchildren, Brittney, Zach and Colby McAtee and Sam and Madylin Littrell.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel, with Jeremy McAtee officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. before the service at the funeral home.
